Dr. Michael Mann is a physical therapist who believes in putting patients first. Identifying and treating the cause affecting his patients, not just treating symptoms they are feeling. Michael is the founder of Improved Motions, Advance Physical Therapy and Performance. Michael attended The University of St. Augustine Health and Science, CA (USA), where he received a Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy. Later, he returned to USA to complete advanced training, earning a manual therapy and dry needling certification. Progressing his education, Michael continues with breakthrough interventions studying instrument-assisted soft tissue manipulation, myofascial and trigger point release, joint mobilization, and manipulation. Expanding his knowledge, he completed the Grays Institute Fellowship of Applied Functional Science (FAFS) utilized by the top professional sports therapist and elight trainers. Completing FAFS, he acquired the tools to influence proper movement patterns to increase an individual’s quality of motion and promote healthy living habits.

Michael is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), Florida Physical Therapy Association (FPTA), California Physical Therapy Association (CPTA), National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), and the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (AAOMPT). Michael is always continuing his education to provide you with the best care possible.

Michaels' experience includes working with both professional and semi-professional athletes. His talents transition from elite athletes to your average fitness enthusiast. This allows his clients to experience a superior treatment style not used in a  typical physical therapy clinic. Through these experiences, Michael has developed a systematic approach with specialized skills to empower both athletes and active adults to enjoy their sport or achieve fitness goals with little downtime.

When asked WHY he does what he does- health care is more than medication, and people deserve more. They are not just a diagnosis.

“You are more than your symptoms; you are a mother, a father, a husband, a wife, a sister, a brother, a son, a daughter, a friend, a coworker, a coach, a role model. You are important and you deserve the best treatment possible, so you can get back to being who you are meant to be.” – Dr. Michael Mann

Michael enjoys being a dad, loving husband, martial artist, novice paddleboarder, and the occasional cup of coffee with a donut.
